   If you are a wine lover and looking for not only a great wine, but a great place to sample, check them out. The staff is great and the wine is fabulous, plus the view from the tasting room can't be beat!! Great 1st date local, romantic spot with your sweetie, or fun with a group!

2. Byways Cafe: Great Comfort Food - Don't miss the deserts!!

   Amazing!! This place is perfect for everyone. Great food, great prices, and the best homemade cakes in town!! Make sure to check them out at breakfast and lunch - both menus are amazing and the atmoshpere is fun - bring back the days of the local diners!!

3. OMSI - Oregon Museum of Science and Industry: Great times at OMSI!!

   Great place to go, for lots of family fun, no matter your age. Check out there annual memberships for deals on frequent trips and access to fun members only events. Don't miss this one! OMSI is a perfect destination anytime of the year and host a great variety of events for all ages!!

   No matter how old you are, they is always something to do at OMSI. A delight for the mind, they host lots of family friendly exhibits perfect to see with kids, alone, or on a fun first date. If you a knowledge hound, make sure to check out their annual memberships to save on trips and gain access to fun members only events.

5. Saint Cupcake: Simply Amazing!!

   Who knew a cupcake could be so amazing? Staint Cupcake, that's who! These are the best little treats around and perfect for everyone young and old. They host a fun variety of flavor sensations with weekly standtords and out of the box daily specials. Bring the kids, take a box to go, or just hang out all day with a cup of ice cold milk and you will find a tiny piece of heaven in small pink and white box!

6. Acadia: Best of the Big Easy right here in Portland

   As relocated true Southern Bell from the Big Easy - this place takes me home every time we go there. There eclectic mixture of local New Orleans favorites with a twist of local flavor make the menu work like a voodoo charm! Sarah and Adam along with their amazing staff, have great "southern" charm and they host a whole line of local items from New Orleans and Southern Louisiana, shipped in fresh daily. From Red Bean Mondays to beignets at Sunday Brunch - this place has it and a pot of grits!! And don't even get me started on the cocktails....... If you love New Orleans - make sure to put Acadia on your list!!
