    Back road float

Back roads will lead you to the historic Canby Ferry, not easy to find, but well-worth the time you invest in taking a departure from the main thoroughfares. The ferry offers you scenic ride across the Willamette River, and has carried travelers across the river since pioneers first settled in Oregon.

    Cruisin' on the Canby Ferry

This little ferry is one of only three historic ferries still crossing the Willamette River. The Canby Ferry runs virtually year-round, making it the most reliable bet for those spur-of-the moment, off the beaten track road trips. Each ferry lies somewhat off our modern main roadways, making it all the more delightful of an experience. P.S. The "cruise" takes about 7 minutes from shore to shore.
