Great, but very loud...
went there on my first evening in portland, and loved my risotto made with quinoa. service was great. music nice although I was jet lagged so could not really enjoy it.
second time went back with my parents. the menu is nice a varied, and my plate was overall good and colourful but not as tasty as it looked.
the wine was not a good recomendation by the waiter though, too sugaree.
I will go back though, I like this place. but is is very loud which can be a bit annoying depending who you are going with- 0 people found this review helpful

Experience
We had a reservation for 7:00 on a Saturday night and wound up waiting for an hour to get our table. When we did finally get our table, it was very cramped and almost pushed up against the bar. The food was very good, but rich. The service was ok. They had live music, located in the bar, which we had wanted to see. However, the music and the talking of everyone in the bar area was so loud, my husband and I couldn't talk to each other. This might be what some people like, but it was not our favorite place. I did not feel like the food or the music was worth the noise or the wait.

Interesting and complex food choices in high energy atmosphere
Live guitar music was playing as we entered the busy restaurant. Wait staff were swamped, but knew how to remain friendly and find us what appeared to be the last table available. The martini's on the menu were creative and inspired us to try something new - I'm now hooked on ginger infused vodka combinations. The Dungeness Crab appetizer stacked with avocado is not to be missed! Lot's of energy, great vibe, and we left completely satisfied and kept talking about the meal the next day because everything was so good and unusual. Peruvian! It rocks, don't be afraid.

Dinner at Andina
We were extremely pleased with our dinner when recently visiting Portland. The retaurant has a great "buzz," but more importantly, a great menu. We really enjoyed the traditional seafood cebiche which my wife said was probably the best she had ever had. We also enjoyed the Causa solterito appetizer. The main course we split-Seco a La Nortena....amazing!!! would highly recommend this place.

Show Portland Off!
Ah - I recently had guests from out of town (one from the Bay area, one from St. Louis) and we chose to spend their last night at this much-heralded restaurant. We were floored - the ambience, the live latin guitar music, the service, and o my gosh, the fab food. The choice of 3 little flan for dessert cannot be topped - just enough for a couple bites each, and we floated home on a cloud of cardamom and cocoa. Yummmmmmm.

This place is amazing
I could seriously eat at Andina every week and not tire of it. Great food, great drinks, great atmosphere. Sharing 3 or 4 small plates is usually perfect for two people with small appetites.

My favorite restaurant in Portland!
I work in the advertising department for a food + drink magazine in Portland, so taking clients out to lunch and enjoying the wonderful food that Portland has to offer is a part of the job description. My favorite part, actually. Andina has quickly become my favorite lunch spot in the city. Every time I have brought a client to lunch there we have received wonderful service and amazing food! I went out on a limb during my first trip and tried the squash stew, it was incredible! Gorgeous presentation, a variety of flavors to appease my taste buds. Great location, great service, amazing food!

Andina - Great Food & Drink and Location!
The Peruvian menu is fantastic, as are the drinks. What I particularly like is the location (including the wine shop downstairs and tons of shops in the Pearl..

Must experience Peruvian cuisine - Andina in Portland
The tapas style Peruvian food from appetizers to entrees are phenomenally delicious. Service personnel very well verse in all the food items and their ingredients. Great Mojito too.
I do not like raw fish or the fish cerviche. Otherwise all is heavenly.
I like that our server helped us place the right portion for each item we ordered as the appetizer comes in small medium or large portion.Great ambience, great food and service, clean silverwares - recipe for success. Reasonable Price. Absolutely vaue for money. I recommend the Beef for entree, Yucca with cheese for appetizer.

THE best Lamb in town
I don't know what spice they use on the lamb but wow, it is terrific. And don't even think about not eating the potatoes. Low calorie they aren't but who cares when they are this good.
The service is always good and the other dishes are also terrific. The bar can be a little noisy especially if they have music so a quiet conversation isn't going to happen. This is a place to go have fun and eat great food.
