  1. Great, affordable Thai fusion

With a name like Cork, it has to be... Thai? I was surprised to find out that the French-named restaurant was actually a Thai diamond in the rough. Centered in the heart of downtown Bend, Cork offers incredible, locally grown food with a Thai fusion twist: bacon wrapped and chevre stuffed chicken with a light creme sauce, tuna rolls, petit filet with a demi-glaze... all around delicious.

Finish off the evening with the amazing fried bananas dessert. Hands down one of the best deserts I've ever had (and I've had a lot). The outside is perfectly crispy while not disturbing the banana's texture, paired with fresh whipped cream and caramel, this dish is a big winner. A word to the wise: get ready to fight off the rest of your table; one bite of this dessert and they'll be coming back for more.
