A great place to go with friends!
A few months ago my friends and I signed up for riding lessons at the Lake Oswego Hunt, what a blast! I love that they have evening classes designed just for adults and that I can enjoy a relaxing drink in the clubroom afterward with my friends.
This is the first time I have felt comfortable to ride in a public facility, the staff and members are all so friendly and warm.... I'm even going to show next month (one of my secret childhood dreams)...THANKS LAKE OSWEGO HUNT !

Fabulous Boarding & Training Experience
I boarded at LOH years ago and moved out of state. We returned about a year and a half ago and are thrilled to be at LOH again. The place just keeps getting better!
Last winter Northwest barns had roofs collapsing and frozen water buckets...but not LOH. They brought in large generators and heated the barn at no extra cost to boarders. I don't know any other barn that would have done that. The horses were safe fed and turned out daily even though no owner could get there in the ice and snow.
I don't know any other northwest barn that offers training in dressage, h/j and eventing, and has a rding school. Can't beat that!
Improvements to the turnouts have been great and we know our horse (an investment) will not get hurt.
We love the groom! What a dear man. He loves the horses and sings to each one.
The General Manager can be credited with all the happy boarders. She runs the place, not the Board, which are all horse owners and equestrian enthusiasts. I'm not sure what turned PepsiLOH off, but I suspect she's one of the folks that wanted to stay for free. Sorry for her/his misfortune, but I can tell you that LOH is the best deal in town.

BEWARE! Poorly Run!!
The Lake Oswego Hunt Club is a 'member owned' facility run by a board of directors. Needless to say nothing ever gets done and the people on the board are rarely experienced horse people. The barn manager is a nightmare to deal with unless you have money, in which case she will be your best friend. LOH has no turn-out of quality and what they do have they only offer up for an hour at a time. And in the winter the pens are fetlock deep in mud. They host shows all summer long which can be fun to watch but there are bigger and better quality shows just as close. Look into other barns before going here. Just because its on the National Historic Registery doesn't mean its kept up!

History and Horses
For a taste of the truly gracious side of life, visit one of the historic Lake Oswego Hunt’s summer events. The classic stables are on the National Historic Register, and offer an elegant venue in which to enjoy the beauty of equestrian hunter/jumper events that are open to the public.
