We enjoyed world-class live music on a recent Monday night at Moon & Sixpence.
The place is particularly smoky (and will be until Jan 1 2009, I hear) but the service was wonderful and the bread pudding was out of this world.
A much more affordable place for a Guinness than Kell's downtown.

Dark wood paneling, tables & chairs, big windows, live Gypsy Jazz on some Saturdays (call first), the best fish & chips, delicious curried veggie pastie, great beer selection with lots of rotating taps, outdoor seating, dart boards.
Service can be a bit casual and it can get really smokey (especially on weekend nights - but come January, it will no longer be a problem.)
Lots of people like Horse Brass, but I think Moon & Sixpence is much better.
