wonderful evening

Our party had four appetizers: the pigeon, pork belly, endive and foie gras. They were all good, pork belly and foie gras were wonderful. I had the duck entree, which was also great. I sampled the beef cheek burguignon, which absolutely melted in the mouth. It is soaked over night in Pinot Noir and it really comes through. We finished with creme brule. The place is small and popular, so book early. Try to get a seat at the bar, so you can watch the chefs at work in the open kitchen. The seating is European style, i.e. we were at a long table with other parties to our right and left.

Best French in town

This cozy restaurant features exceptional classic French cuisine in a very cool setting. Very quaint, make your reservations in advance, or take your chances with walking in....you might get a seat at the 'bar' that overlooks the kitchen crew at work!
Bon appetit!

Yum!

Recently voted "Restaurant of the Year" by The Oregonian, Le Pigeon is an adorable little dining spot that serves creative and DELICIOUS food ! I really miss their breakfast menu, they served the best breakfast I've ever had in Portland... now not offered... but dinner here is wonderful and worthy of their recently awarded title.
