You'll find plenty of small, affordable works of original art throughout the Pearl from February 3 to March 4, when district galleries sponsor "Bon Bon: Small Bites of Delicious Art." The purpose of the gallery hop, says Amy Caplan, owner of Caplan Art Design (1102 NW 10th; 503.319.6437), "is to get people out and about. If you are an art lover, this is a great opportunity to find great art at affordable prices."
Eleven Pearl galleries and four raffle ticket outlets will participate in "Bon Bon," displaying works by Eileen Kane, Eric Leichty, Nigel Conway and others. Many galleries will be serving wine and chocolates, and all will offer raffle tickets for a chance to win pottery by Kurt Van Vlack and other prizes.
