E.	Compound 107 NW 5th Ave Portland, Oregon	ZX500 shoes The Adidas Consortium group consists of elite boutiques around the world, and this year, Compound has proudly joined its ranks. Along with 23 other stores, Adidas tapped Compound to be a part of the “AZX Project”, and design our own version of the Adidas ZX model. With a choice of seventeen different ZX models as our palette, we chose to run with the ZX500. The result was a design inspired by the Portland culture we sleep, eat, and breath. Lasered roses represent Portland’s nickname, “the City of Roses”, and the insole of the shoe is a topographic shot of downtown Portland with an arrow pinpointing Compound’s location in Old Town. The colors: scarlet, black, and white, pay homage to our beloved NBA team, the Portland Trailblazers. Denim fabric was chosen to reflect the casual lifestyle of Portlanders.
