Historic Canby Ferry

This little ferry is one of only three historic ferries still crossing the Willamette River. The Canby Ferry runs virtually year-round, making it the most reliable bet for those spur-of-the moment, off the beaten track road trips. Each ferry lies somewhat off our modern main roadways, making it all the more delightful of an experience. P.S. The "cruise" takes about 7 minutes from shore to shore.

Puddin' River Chocolates

Life is good. Puddin' River Chocolates now has a cozy wine bar and cooking classes in addition to their hand-dipped and delightful chocolates. The tasting room is cozy and easy to find. Owner Teresa Sasse is welcoming and turns out laudable chocolates. This is a not-to-be-missed stop if you're RoadTripping Canby way.

St. Josef’s Winery boasts one of Oregon's oldest vineyards with a tasting room and picnic area. Bask in the sun by the lake at this European style winery. I have this marked on my calendar for their famous harvest grape stomp...can't wait!
